Dial 14444 for digital payments queries
To encourage the digital transactions and to also educate about it to the common public, Nasscom, telecom operators, and NITI Aayog joined hands and created a helpline - 14444.
Any queries related to the online transactions, will be cleared when the people dial this helpline number, which is yet to be made operational soon. After the recent meeting with the committee of CMs, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that, plans are afoot to import one million PoS machines to enable cashless payments across India.
"We are planning a sustainable, long-term, policy to attract majority in India to move to digital payments through providing incentives," Naidu said.
"Our focus is on providing more incentives for making digital payments a mass movement," he said, adding "things are moving very positively on a digital economy for India".
Naidu also stated that the Committee would recommend the continuation of the incentives beyond December 31st. Aadhaar Pay and modified versions of USSD and UPI are the two major breakthroughs using existing infrastructure and so they would be launched soon, Naidu said.
